FISHING REPORT   03-09-09

WATER LEVEL: Last weekend’s rain has brought the water level up to flood stage.  The water level in Huroc Park is over the playground and Basketball court.

STEELHEAD:  Fishing for Steelhead was starting to pick up over the last week.  Float fishermen have been catching Steelhead on spawn and white and black jigs.  Anglers bottom bouncing below the spillway have started to catch fish on Flies and spawn.  This weekends rain and the rise in the water levels should bring a nice run of fish into the River.

PANFISH:  Bluegill and some Crappie have been caught in the back channel.  no sign of Perch yet , but the rise in the water level should bring fish into the River.

WALLEYE: Walleye were starting to show up below the spillway at the end of the week.  The fish were being caught on flies and spawn. The high water level after the recent rain should bring a large number of fish into the river.  REMEMBER the season will be closing on MARCH 15TH
